I began my career as a volunteer firefighter with the City of Pinehurst in 1991, eventually as a full-time employee and Assistant Chief. I stayed with that the City of Pinehurst until 2010 when we moved to the Mauriceville community and built our home. I joined the Mauriceville Fire Department and continued as an active fire fighter and Fire Chief until 2016 when I chose to join the fire board as a commissioner. I have been the board President since approximately 2017 and have enjoyed being a part of this department's development. We have been successful being stewards of the taxpayer’s monies while governing the fire department's growth. It has been extremely rewarding being a part of this department and look forward in continuing to assist in the positive evolution to eventually become fully staffed with full time firefighters.
